In 2023, Nortown Paving was entrusted with a comprehensive revitalization project at Bendale Junior Public School in Scarborough. The primary scope of work involved the excavation and full replacement of the school’s parking lot. This included the careful removal of the old pavement, which was then replaced with high-quality materials to ensure durability and long-lasting performance under heavy foot and vehicle traffic. The new parking lot was designed for better traffic flow, providing clear pathways and parking spaces to accommodate both staff and visitors, enhancing the safety and efficiency of daily operations at the school.

Along with the parking lot improvements, Nortown Paving undertook several key upgrades to the school’s recreational and sports areas. A major highlight was the installation of line painting for a Snakes and Ladders game and Four Squares, offering the students fun and interactive activities during recess. In addition to the line painting, the project included the construction of a brand-new playground, featuring safe, modern play structures that cater to children of various ages. The playground is designed to encourage physical activity, imagination, and social interaction, providing students with a dynamic and engaging environment for play.

Further enhancing the school grounds, Nortown Paving installed new concrete curbs around key areas, helping to define boundaries and improve the site’s overall visual appeal. A chain-link fence was also added to ensure the safety and security of the school grounds, particularly in keeping the playground area enclosed. Sports facilities were upgraded with the addition of triple hoops and basketball nets, promoting physical fitness and team sports among students. The project concluded with tree planting and sod installation, creating a greener, more inviting space for the entire school community to enjoy, while contributing to environmental sustainability. The completed project not only improved the functionality of the school’s facilities but also transformed the space into a more vibrant and engaging environment for both students and staff.
